How it works

    What the child does

    Solves addition and subtraction to 20 and writes each result in its box.

    How it's checked

    The child colours every cell in the number grid that matches an answer. If the answers are right, the coloured cells form a picture.

  3. 3

    Why it works

    It isn't colour-by-number with a legend someone else chose. The child's own results are the legend.
