Printable learning aids

Things to cut out, fold and use next to the worksheets. They have no answers: they are tools for practising with your hands.

  • • Print on thicker paper or card if you can; the hands and nets last longer.
  • • A split pin (paper fastener) holds the clock hands; a drawing pin into cork or cardboard works too.

Telling the time

  • Clock to cut out: hours

    Clock to cut out: hours

  • Clock to cut out: with minutes

Clock to cut out: with minutes

The same clock with an outer ring of minutes (5, 10, 15 …), for half past, quarter past and quarter to.

  • Clock to cut out: coloured quarters

Clock to cut out: coloured quarters

The face is split into four coloured quarters with their names, so quarter past, half past and quarter to become parts of a circle the child can see.

Twelve clock faces without hands. Draw the hands for your child to read, or say a time and let them draw it: endless practice from one page.

Cubes and dice

  • Dice net to fold

    Dice net to fold

Cut out, fold and glue a real die. Opposite faces add up to 7, just like the dice on the sheets and in the Rolling Die game, so children can check by turning it.

  • Cube net

    Cube net

A plain cube net to fold. Make a few and build the buildings from the Cube Lock sheets and the Cube Views game.
